Composed By Wind & Water

On a recent walk along the marsh, I was photograph- ing as I went.  I was almost ready to quit for the day, when my eye was captured by some unusual patterns reflected in the water.  The light was right and made a vivid blue to contrast with the tans of the marsh plants.  A light breeze was blowing, manipulating the reflections to look like marbled paper patterns.  I stood in one place clicking frame after frame as the wind and water rearranged the compositions for me.  Each one was more beautiful than the last.

Gradually the wind increased and broke up the distinctive squiggles, fragmenting the pattern more and more.  That was about the time my camera battery expired, so I stopped for the day, inspired.
